If the police determine that you are not at fault, the damage will be covered by the insurance.

If you are found responsible for the accident, you will be responsible for the cost of the damage and any applicable fines. Insurance also does not cover damage resulting from violations of traffic laws, driving under the influence, driving into oncoming traffic, parking damage, hitting potholes, stone chips to the windshield, damage to the underbody, wheels or rims, or driving on unsuitable roads.
